I had to give a one start rating to comment. Very Rude. Doesn't have the courtesy to talk properly. Very arrogant.

This school was really excellent. I did the one month AMPT course and loved it. The facilities were good, the teachers were intelligent and spoke clearly and helped as much as they could with any issues that we had. I really feel that I got good value for my time here. I definitely recommend it.

Horrible people. Horrible service. I called to have some infos for the Marma course ( since they cleartc say on their webciwe that they train for such Therapy) and who picked up the phone told me in a disgustingly rude way that they don't do it now. When asked when the course will be available again , he hung up on me. Pathetic man. Beware of this centre

Anjali Research Centre & Spa now shares the 3rd Floor of Union Complex, South Bazaar, with the Ayurveda and Panchkarma School. I just completed the Pregnancy Care and Baby Massage course and the Chavitti Uzhichil - Advanced Feet Techniques course.nnFor any men considering doing the former course, this course is not suitable for male.therapists. I have done a pregnancy massage course in the UK where the client is draped. and lies in side position on a massage table. At Anjali the massage they teach is given with the client almost naked except for a paper thong, in standing and seated positions and the therapist massages from behind, from the side and front. So it's pointless doing this course if you are a male therapist as few Western woman will allow a male therapist to massage in this way. It's a shame the school didn't inform me of the unsuitability of this course for male therapists, but I think I was the first man to apply for.the course so a lesson has hopefully been learned. I was similarly disappointed by the baby massage course, the practical lesson for which was only 45 minutes long.nnThe Chavitti course was much more useful for me, though the teacher had a tendency to mumble, answer his phone during the lesson and occasionally lost his temper with my fellow massage student, which only made her more nervous. We all have different learning styles and learning speeds so it's important that any massage teacher maintains their composure and is patient with their students.nnThat said overall my experience at Anjali was a pleasant one. Kannur itself is not touristy like Goa, so here you are experiencing the real India. So dont expect many restaurant options and if you like a Kingfisher or two with your meal, forget it! For that there are seedy bars where there are no women... But you can find it if you look hard enough.
