We stayed at the Gate House for a week in 2016. It was beyond charming and we were the only guests most of the week. Full of an eclectic mix of Indian antiques, spacious rooms, beautiful private pool (unlike at the Bungalow on the Beach), gardens all around, and privacy--with a gate keeper and ayah for company. We took meals a short walk to the Bungalow. Couldn't have been a better place to stay.

If you have a thing for old heritage house, Gate House is for you. You will feel the ambience as you are in a old but very well maintained South Village home. It has a swimming pool, garden, and well maintained rooms. Staff is really courteous. They will help you in anyway possible.
