Amriti pol is originally entrance Pol of Mehrangarh Fort Jodhpur Rajasthan. Pol was constructed by Maharaja Maldeo which leads to the original entrance of the Fort. The original entrance was constructed.by Rao Jodha. This entrance had a bulder with two'holes. A log was inserted through each hole for providing barrier. The Pol was very huge and solid.

Imaritya pol or the imartiya gate is the entryway to the Mehrangarh fort. The gate is massive and gives a very archaic and ancient look. The gateway reflects the wonder of rajput architecture and the grandeur. It is beautiful and gigantic. It is the gateway to the mighty mehrangarh fort which is by far the most beautiful and splendid 15th century fort in entire Rajasthan.

huge fort. we needed about 3 hours to see it fully. view of Jodhpur city from the top of Mehrangarh fort is wonderful. separate ticket is needed for camera. checking for camera ticket is strict.nit is one of the largest forts in India. Built around 1460 the fort is situated 410 feet above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls.nThe fort is located at the centre of the city spreading over 5 kilometres on top of a high hill.nIts walls, which are up to 36 metres ( 118 ft ) high and 21 metres ( 69 ft ) wide, protect some of the most beautiful and historic palaces in Rajasthan.nThese include, Moti Mahal ( Pearl Palace ), Phool Mahal ( Flower Palace ), Sheesha Mahal ( Mirror Palace ), Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana.nThe museum houses a collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture.nThe ramparts of the fort houses many old cannons and provides a breath-taking view of the city.
