Sugar Mill Panchagarh Ltd.

One of the best place that i ever visited. One of 4/5 sugar mill in Bangladesh. Entry restricted but we go with a worker who is our Mama. We ate Hot sugar. We saw every part of making sugar.

I lived there during 1997 to 1999. I would say I have spent the golden days of life there. Enjoyed so much within that 2.5 years.

Panchagar Sugar mill is situated in Panchagar. Panchagar Sugar Mills was set up by the Government in 1965-69 at a cost of Tk.55.55 million.It is near the district Head Quater of Panchagar and is the northern most sugar mill in Bangladesh.Machinery & equipment of the sugar mill were supplied by M/S.Stork-Werks Poor of Holand.The sugar mill started trial production in 1969-70.nnInstalled cane crushing capacity of Panchagar Sugar Mills is 1016 M.Tons per day and sugar production capacity is 10,160 M.Tons per annum.
