View Point Residency

First time i visited Darjeeling. One of my brother recommended this hotel. Seriously I am satisfied whatever they provided. Their behavior is really really good and also all the services. The rooms were really nice and clean and comfortable and overall ambience especially the kanchenjunga mountain view was amazing.nnAwesome hotel esp interior. The coloring and designs of the property was unique and appealingnnThe staff are ever willing to make your stay comfortable and memorable. the food was awesome & Tasty.nnAmazing place to stay.

We visited darjeeling on 12th april 2021 and checked out on 14th april. Stayed two nights at view point residency room no 202. The room had a large window with a great view of the mountains in front, due to cloud we could not judge the kanchenjunga view as only lebong was visible. Interior of the room has a nice wooden touch. Located a bit downhill from the hotel dolphin hotel hermitage lane. Only negative bit being the narrow steps to reach the hotel, not meant for elderly or someone with leg pain. Hope to visit and stay in the same room during november December to enjoy view of kanchenjunga.

The view from this property is really great provided Kachanjunga is visible cause if it is not, it really does not matter where you are staying.nThis property is in the same line of Dolphin, Hermitage, Old British House, a line beneath Oaklane. Untill old british house from raj bhawan the road is smooth and has no issue but then comes few stairs both steep and narrow thus it might be an issue with aged people.nBut apart from those 10~12 stairs rest all are fine.nRooms are great, comfortable and cozy with TV, side table and chair. May be a cabinet would have been a great addition.nBathroom had geyser and 24/7 running water.nRoom 101, 102, 201, 202 has great mountain view but unfortunately my three nights stay was cloud laden else it would have been magnificent.nBut the terrace is also accessable and it allows a brilliant view too.nYogesh ji stays on the property and he is the owner. Staffs stays on the property too. Sandesh is your go to guy for any support and help. He is always there with a smile.nFood could have been better but I shall give it a pass as this is not a hotel neither a homestay but something in between. More than homestay and less than hotel.nThey have basic menu which you can choose from and I only used to have dinner cause lunchtime was exploring local cuisines.nFood itself is not expensive but when compared with quantity and quality, it might pinch you.nThe mall road is around 10 mins walk as this property is towards Raj Bhavan.nIf you are young, on budget trip or looking for a spectacular view of mountain and valley from your room itself then this property is your next stoppage.

Neat and clean place staff behaviour is also good..but food price is too much high and quantity very low.
