Central Gleneagles Heritage Resort Darjeeling

The Gleneagles Heritage hotel lives upto its name. Located suitably nearby Darjeeling mall (5 min walking distance) and Mahakal temple (5 min walking diatance). The property location is a big advantage. The club room has large , cozy, comfortable interiors. The view from the room is amazing and very soothing especially in the early morning hours. The staff are very courteous. A special mention about the food. The breakfast(Indian) is high quality and very delicious with numerous options to choose from (buffet spread).nThe room has necessary essential amenities. The hotel has good amount of landscaping with floral growth. Overall a great staying experience and highly recommended considering the food and location.

Room was just Okay washroom was clean, mountain view was good. Food served was okay but don't opt breakfast buffets as they usually have just 1 or 2 option available however if its complementary go for it. Location was nice.

The location is magnificent, staffs are very friendly. All the rooms are view rooms. Beautiful ambiance. They provide quality food. But I felt something was missing. Its a great hotel but the soul was missing. I had to ask for the tea and coffee which they were suppose to provide for tea maker. The didnt Turned the generator on when there was a power cut for a whole night. There are little things which do matters. I felt a lack of security a bit. Though the hotel guard pet dog is very cute and friendly.nThe receptionist was extremely helpful. All in all it's a good to stay place.

Near darjeeling mall & just under the mahakal temple this is the perfect place for stay. We booked club room....this was so big with additional dressing room,the bathroom was also large.they have very good view of mountains from rooms but we're so unlucky for the bad weather. We enjoyed their delicious food..everyday we mainly enjoyed the breakfast..my favourite food was puri sabji, chana bhatora & the satay vegetables from the breakfast menu. Masala papad & the chicken fried rice was also very tasty. The staff are also very polite. They have 6 rooms in total..they maintain beautiful garden with various types of flower plants.

No car goes directly to the hotel. You have to walk at least 600 m with your luggage. Spacious rooms shown in website but not alloted exactly.
