This place comes as a total surprise with it's total offbeat charm. You have to park your vehicle below the hill & then the hotel arranges a trip to the hilltop. The road looks scary + thrilling. Their staff is very friendly, right from the drivers, managers, guards. We booked a cottage resort on the top of the hill which was totally surreal. You could gaze the sky in the night, hear sounds of lots of birds & animals. Though being secluded in location, the place is pretty safe.

The charm of La Hermitage lies in its location; once in, you can have 360 degree views of the mountains around. The sunsets here are stunning. It's away from the crowd and din of Lansdowne, and is a retreat in true sense.nnThe rooms are big, washrooms clean and very spacious, food served is fresh and has some local flavours too. The staff is pretty polite and on their toes.nnFor a suggestion, mattresses can be harder and easier on the back; rooms can have a locker/doored closet.nnSince you're on the edge of Corbett, chance encounter with the wild cannot be ruled out; the villagers here have a lot of fascinating jungle tales to tell.

We had visited this resort recently and the stay was fabulous. Location is Mind blowing plus the resort staff was superb.nnThey have called us multiple time on our way to resort, to explain us the route and guided us properly.nnI will visit this resort more often in future.nnPros'n1. The resort is located on a hilltop and the view is of majestic mandal river. I went with my parents and family. The weekend was full with visitors and there was lot of activity such as badminton, village trek, and river visit.nthe rooms are big and are well illuminated. The services are fast and the food can be trusted.ngood for repeat visit as well!
