Rohtang Pass Taxi Stand

Do not book taxi from this stand the for Rohtang the drivers are useless they are more interested in money rather than taking care of passenger. They will not allow give more time to enjoy at rohtang. They all are cheaters. It is better to book a private taxi which takes care of the passenger

Good place. Beautiful place to see in Himachal Pradesh. Specially for seeing snow it's a good place. It is near Manali and worth seeing. One has to take permission online by paying tax to visit this place by taxi. It is around 50 km from Manali but due to heavy traffic and jam it takes minimum 4-5 hrs to get there. Snow suit are available on the way to Rohtang. If someone is lucky enough they will see the snow fall and it is a great experience and it's unforgettable moment also. During winter season Rohtang Pass road is closed due to heavy snowfall. For people with Asthmatic problem this place is not suitable and also for old-age people due to low oxygen levels. I am lucky enough to get the chance to look snowfall during my recent visit and also when I visited this place 16 years back. This is a good place and specially children enjoy a lot during visit of Rohtang Pass. From Rohtang we can go Leh also but prior permission is required. In all Rohtang is a picturesque place to visit during Himachal Pradesh tour.

Roads of the area are slightly good but rest of the roads are moderately to severely damaged and on peak time you can experience traffic jam.nnSo i would suggest to hire a local taxi that will take you to rohtang pass.those people have great coordination with each other and drive smoothly in those conditions.But they will charge more
