Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary

I had a really good experience there with the calm and quiet nature. The people who likes rafting can also enjoy that out there.nMy suggestion is that the people who like to explore Chimmini Wildlife should reach there morning or in the evening.nBecause when sun comes we feel exhausted.

With its dense forests, a variety of birds and butterflies, and innumerable trekking trails, this is a sanctuary that provides a heady experience for nature enthusiasts. The sanctuary is contiguous with the Peechi-Vazhani sanctuary. Visitors can view elephants, sambars, gaurs, Malabar squirrels and sloth bears in the sanctuary. The Forest Department regularly conducts trekking expeditions and rafting programmes in the area.

Dam sight ambiance is super and you can treak inside the forest by book in advance under forest dept,so you can treak with a forest guard in the buffer zone.

Chimney is closed as of now due to the pandemic scenario and I gotta hear from the guard that it will be re opening this weekend and continue to stay opened during weekends until there's any other notice... Try to visit bfr 3pm or 3.30 atleast as they closes around 5pm... And the way towards it is simply heavenly... Nature lovers shd surely bid a visit atleast once...

A really beautiful and pristine place for Nature lovers. The boat ride is really amazing. Trekking is amazing too. They are planning to do a cycling trail which will make things even better.
