the zostel was probably the best idea we had in srinagar. it is a perfect spot to start discovering the beautiful town. its away from the hustle and bustle of the dal lake promenade but you can walk to nishat gardens and the lake within five minutes and its wonderfully quiet and peaceful and its hard to decide if you wanna hang out and relax after a day of sightseeing in the common room, or the roof top or the garden. the best about this place is that staff and owners are incredibly nice, funny and caring people that will really do everything they can to help you and they wont try to scam you or pull the money out of your pockets. they helped us a lot and gave us a a lot of helpful advice and we were super happy to stay there. I say forget about houseboots, the zostel is way better and cooler. thank you to everyone there, we had a great time!

By far, this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed. We stayed for 3 nights, the hosts are awesome and very helpful. They even have the best cook! I can repeat butter chicken all day everyday! It super good! The room are quiet and the bed was comfy, the whole place is clean. They even have a rooftop with a nice view too and front area garden just to chill & chat with others. Feels like home. I can picture myself revisit Kashmir and stay at the same hostel again. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for a perfect place to stay in Kashmir. No regret! Super nice hostel, clean and comfortable. Good kitchen and good street food in the area too. Staff are super helpful and will give you all the advice you need to do Sringar. Good wifi too which is key for a part of India that is impossible to find wifi

The place is situated at walking distance from Dal Lake and Nishad. All other places are very easily accesible as well.nnThe hosts are the best I have been. They go extra miles to make your stay memorable. They arrange everything for you from cabs for day tour to guidance on city tour you don't need to worry about anything.nnMet some nice people and had some amazing conversations with the hosts. I felt as if I was at home. Also they serve amazing kehwa. Going back soon for sure.

Zostel Srinagar is one the beautiful property of Zostel. Looks like a local home, theme, decor and hospitality makes it a destination in itself. This place is perfect for solo travelers, budget backpackers, a group of friends and not so conventional couple. View is mesmerizing from this place, just sit at terrace, behind you it is mountain, Dal lake is in front of you. Trust me, sitting there for a sunset turns a normal person into poet.nif you are looking for solitude, go here, want to make friends, go to Zostel (Suhail and Shaukat will make sure you leave Zostel with atleast two more friends in life). Situated right beside Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh is at walkable distance.
