Visited this temple on a Sunday. Very crowded. Lots of devotees come here on Sundays to offer sacrifices in the form of goats or chicken and seek her blessings. There are several small shops in the vicinity of the temple that prepare food out of these sacrificial animals which the devotees consume in places that have been arranged around the temple for this.nThe fervour of the devotees has to be seen to be believed.nHowever, litter is freely spread all over the surroundings and in the periphery of the lake, which detracts from the overall sentiment.nThe temple is located just next to the Shamirpet lake, which is now full of water and offers a pleasant place to relax and bathe on weekends.
