Mandarmani is a Village kind of place, you will get only hotels and restaurants built up around the beach the beach is cleaner and calm and less populated in comparison to Digha...The resort stay is pretty costly...You can get cheaper hotels online. Very nice place to relax and spend your weekends...

The beach is mostly empty so it means it is perfect for a walk with your friends and your significant other. The waves may not be the best, but it wont disappoint you either. There are a few shops there to shop for gifts and to munch down on snacks.nYou can sit on the concrete slabs facing the ocean and can spend a lovely evening there.nThose who want to party and make some noise, then this is not the place for you. For them, Digha is a better choice.

A virgin sea beach in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. It is about 4 hours drive from Kolkata. Perfect big you are wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle. As it is still in development, not much crowds yet. Some adventure sports like Banana ride, speed boats are available. Some shacks selling snacks. Number of resorts are there right on the beach. A bit on the pricey side though. The sunrise is mesmerizing. The water is calm and serene. It is famous for red crabs which you can see in plenty running around. A walk in the water in morning brings you do close to Nature that you forget everything else. Good for kids and family.

The place is overcrowded, people refrain from wearing masks. It has become second Digha. The beach was very different 4 years back when I first visited the place. The administration's construction along the beaches has robbed it of its natural beauty. I was there for around 30 minutes and did not enjoy it a bit. The rates of the hotels are bit too high. I think if one has no fascination for a particular destination and would like to stay in a beach side hotel/resort, then I would suggest Old Digha as it is very convenient to reach ( by bus and train ) and offer you a wide choice of hotels and most importantly is less crowded.
