The Alipore Zoological Garden, Alipore is India's oldest formally stated zoological park and a big tourist attraction in Kolkata, West Bengal.nn• Location: 2, Alipore Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027, West Bengal, India.nn• Time: 9:00am-4:30pmnn• Every Thursday Zoo remains closed. If there is a government holiday on Thursday, then the zoo will be open.nn• Entry fee: INR 10/- (for children below 5 years) & INR 30/- (for adults) per head.nn• Here you will find different species of animals, birds and reptiles... Viz.- Royal Bengal Tiger, White Tiger, Lion, Crocodiles, Indian Flapshell (Softshell) Turtle, Kangaroo, Sloth Bear, Zebra, Giraffe, Chimpanzee, Indian Elephant, Indian One-horned Rhinoceros, Ring-tailed Lemur, Swamp Deer (Endangered species), Emu, Painted Strok, Spoonbill, Rosy Pelican, Macaw, Golden Pheasant, Peacock, Black Swan, Bar headed Goose, and so on....nn• The fish aquarium is located right opposite to this Zoological Garden.nn• A Reptile House is there... Where you can notice different species of snake.nn• Several captive breeding species like Tigon or tiglon (the hybrid offspring of a male tiger and a female lion) & Litigon (second-generation hybrid from a female tigon and a male lion, specifically an Asiatic lion) will also catch your eye.nn• No cooking is allowed inside the park. You can take your cooked food inside the park if you want. You can also take packet food, but in that case you have to take the food out of the plastic packet and put it in the newspaper wrap or tiffin box. In case you don't want to bring food with you, Food Court is also available inside there.nn• Use paper and cloth bag instead of the plastic bag.nn• I suggest you to carry drinking water with you.nn• You will also get a small space for children to play in the park. Don't bring toys.nn• And lastly, keep the place clean (please use dustbean).
