Baba Kalyaneshwar Temple

I visited this temple a number of times. Very beautiful place to visit and here Shivaratri is very famous. A prominent place in Bally.

Kalyaneshwar Mandir is more-than-500-year-old Shiva temple situated in Bally, Howrah near Belurmath. It is very famous and visited by millions of monks and devotees around India every year. It is surrounded by Kali, Ganesh, Vishnu and Bajrangbali Temples. The structure is about 400 years old and is said to be have been started by the Pandavas and it was then continued by the Katoch Dynasty. According to legends, Ramakrishna Dev used to visit the temple frequently along with his followers and founder members of Ramakrishna Mission including Swami Vivekananda, Swami Brahmananda and others. This ritual is still followed by the monks of Ramakrishna Mission.

This is a very nice temple at Bally. The place is well maintained having all sorts of facilities for the devotees like clean toilets, availability of drinking water etc. This is a Shiva temple. Ramakrishna Paramhans Deb once pay visit to the place. There is a big pond at the front side of the temple. The place is well visible from the main road.
