THE KADAMBARI HOMESTAY

I had booked a cottage for my family. It came with amenities like the entire drawing room area and dining room area all to ourselves. The place is located at a perfect location with its proximity to the town and having beautiful hiking trails and shops nearby. The most amazing thing about it is that it is pet friendly and our retriever was more than welcome there. The host Mr Siddharth is a wonderful jolly man who took exceptionally good care of us. If we ever come to Kalimpong again we definitely know where to stay.

We stayed in Kadamnari for two nights and all in all it was a very good and relaxing time. The staff was really welcoming and hospitalble and the ambience of the place was homely, it was even suitable for older people. We enjoyed the food as well. It was a lovely time spent with family on a great place. Definitely recommend it to everyone.

An excellent homestay with really good authentic food. We had a delightful 2 nights stay with barbecue and bonfire, the hosts are very welcoming and can also customise the stay according to your needs. Affordable as well as comfortable. The pictures and description provided in the listing are incorrect.nnWhile we booked an entire place with a kitchen, we realized the actual place given to us, had no kitchen. The only kitchen was in the accomodation of the host, and he was hesitant, to allow access to the kitchen. It's a cold place, with temperatures at 7°C and our only source of hot water even to drink, was from the only geyser in one toilet. Especially late nights, or early morning, as we didn't want to disturb the host. We asked for a flask, didn't have one, umbrella to go to a close by store, didn't have that either!nnThe location being far away from any places to eat, we had no option, but to order food, from the host.nnDespite informing the host, on our meal time, meals were consistently served 45 minutes to an hour late. While the wait was frustrating, the food was taste less and pathetic.nnHaving limited options in the area, we continued to order dinners and evening snacks. We had to followup multiple times, to get our food served, and the host consistently demonstrated absolutely no sense of any commitments to the times, we agreed for our meals being served.nnWhile the host was friendly and polite, the accomodation needs improvements.nnI have stayed in Airbnb's around the world, to say the least, this stay was most miserable, not remotely worth the price.nnDon't recommend this place at all.
