This is a beautiful property managed by a family led by Mary, a Civil engineer. The rooms are newly constructed and are spacious, clean, with all the amenities. 2 of the largest Rooms(actually a 1bhk) have amazing views. Overall, the quality of the rooms would be half a notch below the most expensive hotels in Darjeeling district.nHowever, what sets this homestay miles apart from all the other properties in the area is the love and earnestness with which the family ensures the guests enjoy their stay.nnThanks a ton to Mary and family for a beautiful 3 day vacation.

The uniqueness of this resort is that they have their own their own cuisine which provides you the local delicacy of Nepali community which is a must try. People who are open to newness will love it here.

Managed by a family of four, this homestay is one of its kind and has a lot to offer. The rooms are well kept and tidy, it also had a good view. Best food cooked by the ever caring mother, warm hospitality of the whole family, they have a fond love for dogs and have a vast number of them but harmless beings. The father an avid gardener has a vide variety of flora and fauna spread across the homestay, best part is that he lets you pluck the fresh fruits. He is one rock n roll fellow, doesnt complain too much with music as you would find him jiving to his own music in the morning or afternoon.nMary is a wonderful host, really hardworking and academically sound, someomes who is very passionate about her work, well the homestay says it all!! She too is a keen musician , plays the strings and sings with style. She put up with all our nonsense with ease and a smile on the face.The Tongba was the highlight , freshly brewed millet beer. The rustic kitchen called bhansaghar gives a very homely feel, sitting there in the evening, or zoning out in the hammock , sipping on tongba, vibing to great music and gazing at the sun set. I quite cherished my stay at Gingko Eyrie and wish to visit them soon as winter comes.
