The Google might not guide you correctly.pls ask locals when you get closer to the place say about a km plus.nThey are trying to develop it with washrooms and parking.nIt's a good way to challenge your level of fitness. Do not venture alone lest u injure urself and don't find anyone to rescue you.nWear good grip shoes when you go inside.pls carry a torch..it's dark out there.nYou cd try coming out from the other end.nThere's a foot track leading to the graves where the family of King Tirot are believed to hv been buried. It's worth a trek..it will lead you to the under construction cottages that are being built by North East Council to promote tourism.nThere are a couple of more caves too. The locals can guide you.

What a place it is! Super awsome for cave adventure. I crawled like a reptile to pass through some passage in the caves . Really beautiful. And the fact that its historically significant makes it even better..nVery few people go here..nYet the view is mesmerizing.

This cave is about 150 meters long and has many rooms both big and small. It's earlier name was KREM PRYDA (PRYDA CAVE) which is now called KREM TIROT (TIROT CAVE).nThis cave derived its name from a lady by the name Pryda who was the first to reside in this place. Till date there are reminiscence related to this, narrated in the form of stories. For example the monolith, path and land for cultivation.nThis cave had also been used by Tirot Sing and his troop of soldiers at the time when they were fighting against the British soldiers and till date there are evidences such as staircase and stone door.

This Krem Tirot (Tirot Singh King Cave ) is located at Nongkhlaw village west khasi hill district ....... only 30km from Mairang...... This CAVE is wonderful inside some parts inside this CAVE it very dark...... some part is very narrow and twists...... I had visited this CAVE on 04-February -2019 ............
