The warmth, coziness and professionalism of both the place and the owner is exactly what I appreciate when on vacation. Shillong is a beautiful place but this is the cherry on the cake. We initially booked for 2 days during which we were upgraded rooms as a welcome gift which is always such a bonus. On having the serene and well put together location, view and ambience of this place, we decided to spend our entire vacation of 5 days, here.nIts more of an Air BnB or a guest house than a hotel in general, but the interiors will give you the best of both worlds.nDo try the owner's hand made local breakfast while you're there.

Beautiful place, really nicely kept and each and every item very thoughtfully placed. Really warm host, cosy bed, clean washrooms and to top it all for breakfast lovers like me, a very fat and fabulously delicious breakfast next morning, will keep the place lingering in your mind, long after you leave!!! Highly recommended!!!!

Rooms are very well furnished, clean and all necessaries are well arranged. Very friendly atmosphere, decent behavior from all Staffs. I enjoyed my week days stay at A La Maison.

Oh everything reviewed is unjustified towards Vivi's smile and Max's warm welcome. They are absolutely cuddly people. Its Vivi's home. And she maintained it gorgeously. And our unplanned tour is is mostly planned with Vivi. She would suggest some awesome stays over nongriat and other places in Meghalaya. Just 2km from police bazar. Its a home away from home. You are gonna love the breakfast And special khasi dinner/lunch over request.
