If you visit Meghalaya and doesn't visit this place you are missing Something which you may not able to see probably anywhere in the world. The Double decker Living root is built In two layers and uses only roots. To reach here one has to climb down 3000 steps. It is better to spend a full day here. The longest Living Root Bridge is 20 minutes away and worth visiting too. For food one has to carry, Or order from small shops on the way. Maggie, Etc is only available

This bridge is an excellent example of how wonderful things could be if mankind and nature worked in collaboration, and is among the top Meghalaya tourist places. Though there are many astonishing living root bridges in Meghalaya and it is believed that some of them are over 500 years old, this double-decker one shows its distinct popularity

Most of the times it is advised to visit living root bridge in winters but in rainy seasons we get to see the water falls near the bridge and during the trek that will be a great experience!!nAt the entrance we can hire guide who will be assisting us to the bridge and he will also carry bags like camera equipment etc if we ask him to there is no need of carrying water bottles or food in route there are small tappries which offer Maggie, eggs, water bottle etc. The trek will take around 2 hours up and down, there is great scope for photography too.

It's worth the walk, breathtaking scenery, many challenging bridges and we'll constructed stair with handrail. However, it would be better if sign board are put up at some strategic locations. A perfect place for swimmers so, better come with your extra clothes and covid test documents requirement should be informed at the entrance not after reaching the village.
