Due to cycloneud83cudf2aud83cudf2a Yaas on 26 th May 2021 Heavy rain fall in Keonjhar, jajpur and bhadrak and also due to discharge of Hadgarh Dam a flash flood occurred in lower levels(sea level) of bhadrak district.nToday 28/05/2021

This anicut is a masonry check dam that is constructed across a stream of Baitarani river to impound water for maintaining and regulating irrigation. The water stored behind this anicut is used for irrigation of crops or drinking water for humans and livestock. This is the border between Bhadrak and Jajpur district and hence the water is utilised by people of both the districts. It is a very beautiful place and calm and serene especially during the sunset time.
