The MAA Sarala temple is a Hindu temple at jhankada in the district of Jagatsinghpur , Odisha , india and is one of the eight most famous Shakta shrines of Odisha. Goddess Sarala is also known as vak devi , the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, and jhankada vashini Sarada. Many festivals are celebrated in the temple including parvana , sharadiya utshob , pana sankranti , dola purnima and Chandan jatra. One can reach the temple from nearest airport Bhubaneswar 78.6kms , from nearest railway station jhankada Sarala road 2kms and district headquarter Jagatsinghpur is just 18kms.

I loved this temple. It was kind of relaxing and one can be at peace. I went here in the evening and it opens up at around 4 in the evening. You can offer prashad which are available with the vendors outside the temple. And I found the pujaris to be friendly as well.nnCurrently some construction work is in progress hence be careful when you walk bare feet inside the temple.nnJai Maa Sarala!

Omm Maa Salara Namah... Really very spiritual place with good parking space. Best route is to travel via Cuttack- Paradeep Highway and take a right turn near/ just before Tirtol. You can use google Map. Its accurate.

What a place! Well maintained and still in the pandemic it has its iwn peace inside. People around are vivid in divine culture and the staff employed are co-operative.nThere are staff to offer prayer and offerings on your behalf and you have to just speak out your native place names so that you find yourself a paid help. At present, you have to show up with your ID proof and get it enlisted with a token and you can enter inside with that token only. Prasad stalls are open out side and Reserved forces are there to maintain peace and a lot to help.
