Lodhi Fort, also called as Purana Qila or Old Fort was a grand structure of which you can now only find ruins. This fort was once the pride of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and also served as the gateway of Sikander Lodhi’s empire.nnTiming: There is no particular entry timing to visit this fort. However, you can choose winter season to avoid heat.

Government is not focussing on our heritage,buildings were in very bad condition.

At a time this was famous fort in Ludhiana named as Purana Qilla. It was built in the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Now this fort become in a very poor condition. Buildings are totally destroyed and there are lots of unwanted plants grown over there. As per the history there are long tunnel which connected to the Other fort that are in Phillaur. This one had a nice tourist place, if the government takes it under their system.

The Fort is good, it has a wide entrance and there will be no parking problem.nBut the fort is not maintained properly there are lots and lots of unwanted plants, which destroys all the mood.nI will suggest you to visit this place at winters bcz at that time all the plants will get dry and you will find easy to explore that place.
