Stepaway chayatal heritage homestay

We reached chayatal heritage homestay on 23rd December. It took almost 5:30hours from NJP station to reach there. Upon reaching we found the most amazing view of the mountain range. We got to see the mt.Kangchenjunga range from our car as we were approaching towards heritage homestay. It's a total remote place with loads of cardamom plants and squash plants. The only con is you have to climb 60/70steep stairs(and they are not even proper staircase). But, once you reach, you'll get to see the heaven near you. They have one wooden floor contains two rooms, one wooden room downstair and two normal rooms. Rooms include multiple beds(3+1). Bathrooms are modern, with toilet tissue. But they have hand shower only in their premium rooms, upstairs. We got to see the mountain from our rooms very nicely and the two hosts Prem and Suraj were perfect. They did every possible thing for us with very little resources. Even they kept warm water to wash our hands after lunch/dinner, as they have no basin in the dining room. Geyser storage is less, so water gets cold very easily. And they don't have room heater when the temperature was as low as 2/3 degrees. The rooms are very basic but the nature around is extraordinary... Prem and Suraj did b-b-q for us, and their cooking is also good. We had 4 children with us from 3 to 9 years with different food preference which they served pretty well.nIn short, if you can climb up the stairs, and if you find peach without mobile internet (as there is no wifi or internet expect call network that too, very low) you should definitely explore this place.
