Carmelagiri Elephant Park

It's a private venture. Around 6-8 elephants and you are actually taken for a ride! Pun intended. You pay 1200 bucks for two people, children travel free, 250 bucks for photos when you are on top of the elephant and a 100 bucks for feeding the elephant pineapple chunks after the ride. They also have a juice shop which sells pineapple juice for 50 bucks a glass. We visited because our son wanted so, but to be frank, the elephants looked abused. It was a sad sight. Making them toil in the hot sun only to serve the stupid tourism industry.

Over priced. Still kids enjoyed it. They fed Elephant and touched in 100 rs. Entrance fee is 20rs per head. But in that we cannot even see them closer. If you need to see them or to make a safari for 5 minutes its 600 per head which is too high. 100 is for feeding them a pineapple

The ride is short and expensive.nnHowever you will like this ride becausen1.The front desk staff and mahout are very friendlyn2. New experience for people who rode over an elephantn3. You will get a chance to feed the elephant but it will be charged extra

Not to waste money and time here to ride huge and powerful mammals trained to do what they haven't been created for. Maybe 5-10 minutes to just watch these magnificent creatures move around. That's it.
