A peacefull temple located in the foothills of western ghats. The temple is maintained by tribal peoples known as paliyars. The Lord muruga statue found here is told as suyambu. The statue was found by the paliyars while up rooting tuber plants. In additional there was a perineal spring emerges from the roots of a mango tree.nThai poosam & Tamil new year is the major festivals. During Tamil new year lakhs of devotees come here to get the blessings of Suyambu sri maavootru velapar
