The library is very old. Here several types of books are available. Many people visit here. The librarian is very helpful. This library is so disciplined. This library is very clean and clear. Here have wheelchair accessible parking lone. One can drive a car here. Must visit.

The Library was founded in the year 1915. The 100 years old public library is the pride of Hooghly. A great collection of books are available here. Text books for higher studies are also available here. Seperate reading room is there at the first floor of the library. Now a days the library is facing many a problems. First of all is very few members are coming here regularly. The interest on the books are decreased among the new generation.
