Definitely not a good place for interns. The female interns were continuously made to feel uncomfortable by the female internship coordinator. She would call the female interns into her office and reprimand their clothing choices on the grounds that their ankles are showing. She would say that other members of the office have complained about our ankles as well! Even though there were associates who would wear skirts, dresses and sleeveless blouses in the office, us interns were subject to this. She said that the office is very conservative. This according to me, was very wrong. Interns are supposed to feel comfortable at their workplace. They are supposed to be grilled on the work they do, not on account of their ankles showing, that is simply ridiculous! I have done about 5-6 internships by now, and this has not occurred in even a single firm. However, the work given was good. But I would not opt to work at a firm which is so conservative for female interns.
