Rested to rejuvenate.nOn browsing for homestays in the hills we came across the property. On narrowing down Emerald Trail as the reviews were impressive, we contacted the owner Sumith, and he shared the travel protocol and requirements for travel. We decided to take the plunge to set off for the break after 7 months of home rest.nWe reached Emerald Trail in drive time of 7 hours from Noida. The staff was courteous and prepared for our arrival. Everything was smooth including our broadband connectivity (we used our laptops sparingly as our phones would suffice for calls and emails).nWe stayed there for 10 days. During normal days, one would have to think twice of taking leave to unwind. Here, we relaxed, worked, rejuvenated and went back thinking - all is getting well.

Thank you Lalit and team.nOur last trip to ET was around 4 years back. We didn’t want to risk going with our parents, so me, my wife and kids took a 5 day break.. We knew travel had opened up & drove straight 9 hours from home to Emerald Trail as we didn’t want to stop on the way with kids As expected, Lalit the manager greeted us with warmth. All santitization protocols were maintained. Masks, gloves, shields work by the team. Santization of rooms done twice a day. Lalit and team made us really comfortable. Coming back for more this December..

Our stay at Emerald Trail, Jungaliagaon, near Bhimtal, was a memorable one. The tranquility and sheer silence made the long drive, worth it.

This isn't a place to go to for warmth and hospitality. We went there after a long road trip through the Kumaon region as a pitstop before driving back to Delhi and were utterly disappointed. The staff was relatively uncouth and un-inviting compared to being treated like home everywhere else we stayed through the journey. This place felt like it was only about money - the booking, the food, & the stay. Even the dogs were cooped up throughout the day.nnIt is ok if you want to be absolutely secluded and left alone but with kids and elderly - I am sure you will find better options.

Family trip with kidsnWe stayed at the Emeraldtrail for 3 nights. Absolutely loved the ambience of the place. Staff goes out of way to make guests comfortable, welcoming them home. Not once did we feel out of place with our 2 young kids, with their every whim catered to including a fireplace in the cabin and pancakes for breakfast.nnThank you Emeraldtrail staff for an amazing few days.
