Nice place. It is very old library which has been renovated.

My home is opposite to this building, less than 20 meters. The place itself is a very old library, visited by Mahatma Gandhi on two occasions. The place served as an important meeting ground for thinkers and politicians-- before and after the freedom struggle. But- ever since I started understanding the place - mid 90s onards, I can recall declining value and infrastructure. The historical reading room of Raipur, which has started to look very beautiful with new furnishings, has been redesigned, keeping the old dignity of this place.
