Turkey Run Inn

Upon arrival, the woman at the gate was very rude to us. She seemed put out that we were interrupting her conversation with the car in the other lane that was leaving. The cabin room was very nice and clean. The kitchen staff was nice and the woman who checked us in was also nice. The man working the nature center didn't acknowledge us or greet us in any way, he never looked up from his computer. I would stay here again but some folks need to be better at customer service.

Great place

When we checked in and went to the room it did not look like it had been cleaned at all. There was a big ball of someone's hair on the floor, tags from someone's new clothes on the bed and the walls and shower in the bathroom looked as if someone had explosive diarrhea in the shower with the curtain open. They gave us a new room that still did not look as though it had been cleaned. We spent about an hour cleaning the room ourselves. The park is what saves this place, the rugged trails and the scenic views make the trip worth it. Just know if you're planning on staying at the Inn you're probably going to have to clean it yourself before you can enjoy it.

The inn was fine. The dining was so so because of covid I assume. What really got this poor rating was the unfriendly service at the front desk. I had talked to two people and they were very unfriendly. Didn't welcome me to the park or inn or have any conversation....and they weren't busy as I came on a Tues. and left on a Weds. after Labor day.nI had booked on line and paid for a breakfast. When I checked in no one mentioned I needed a voucher for breakfast and they had my reservation. I brought my check to the front desk after the meal as instructed. Then when I checked out I thought the bill was a bit high and questioned the front desk staff regarding my paying for breakfast. They looked up it and said I didn't. I paid. Went out to my car and found the reservation that showed I paid for the breakfast.nWent back in to show the lady....she was not friendly at all. Looked it up again and saw it was there. Told me she would make a one time exception and credit me back the $10...REALLY and exception because of her error even when questioned. Then she said I should have gotten a voucher. I asked her how was I to find out about the voucher system and she said I should have asked when I checked in. I said really? When you pull up someone's reservation, why can't you see what they have paid for and say here is your breakfast voucher....i.e here is what you need to have or do.nnUnbelievably unfriendly. If you don't want to be pleasant at a place that should welcome visitors to support the park, then don't work in a customer service position.nnCan someone who is over HR for these staff respond as to what is there training and expectations of front line staff? They should be welcoming.

Clean comfortable bed and a hot shower. Didn't mind the small, dated room. Breakfast was OK...super friendly people but way overcooked omelette. Nice veranda on the 2nd floor. Has a small gift shop.nNice to be here to head out early on the popular trails.
