Kheoni wild life Sanctuary

Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1955, is located in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over an area of ​​124 square kilometers, the richness of its sanctuary is due to the dry deciduous forest, which is mainly of teak and bamboo species, and is home to a variety of wild animals, and flora and fauna. Major animal species are found here, including Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar and barking deer.nThe sanctuary is also rich in bird life. This sanctuary is also an attraction for tourists. Balganga River is the main river of this sanctuary.nnOr (In Hindi)nnखेओनी वन्यजीव अभयारण्य, 1955 में स्थापित हुआ, मध्य प्रदेश के देवास जिले में स्थित है। यह 124 वर्ग किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में फैला है, इसकी अभयारण्य की समृद्धि शुष्क पतझड़ी वन के कारण है, जो मुख्य रूप से सागौन और बांस प्रजाति के हैं, और जंगली जानवरों, तथा वनस्पतियों और जीव की विविधताओं का एक घर है। प्रमुख पशुओं की प्रजातियां यहाँ पायीं जाती हैं, जिनमे से निम्न शामिल हैं, जैसे चीतल, सांभर, नीलगाय, चार सींग वाले मृग, जंगली सूअर और बार्किंग डीयर।nयह अभयारण्य पक्षी जीवन से भी समृद्ध है। यह अभयारण्य पर्यटकों के लिए भी एक आकर्षण का कारण है। बालगंगा नदी इस अभ्यारण्य की प्रमुख नदी है ।

It's an amazing place . There atmosphere is Wow! different from our environment . No pollution no sound only silence is there . If people will go there they come with fresh mood I recommend that one time you should visit and then you can see the difference between living in pollution full environment and in beautiful nature . There is an another type of fragnance to . I haven't smell it before.nCottages, food and ambience of place you cant find anywhere in Dewas.nPerfect place for nature lovers.

Proud moment , kheoni wild sanctuary

We visited kheoni wildlife sanctuary( Dewas) on 17/1/2020. Stayed in the tented accommodation of the forest rest house. We saw a drastic increase in the room rent from 1st January 2020 onwards. Now the rent for the tent is Rs 2000 per day and there is no provision for hot water. The bed sheets were not even changed and used soaps were provided. An ordinary vegetarian meal is charged Rs 350 per person. The Safari costs Rs  2200 and entry fee at the gate is Rs 300. You have to be extremely lucky to spot an animal. We were luckless in the two safaris we did. With the doubling of the rates its definitely not worth visiting  again.
