Dindigul district is an administrative region in the south of Tamil Nadu. The district was carved out of Madurai district in 1985, and is famous for its lock and tannery industries. It has an area of 6266.64 km2 and comprises three Revenue Divisions, eight Taluks, and 14 Panchayat Unions. Dindigul is one of the historical cities in Tamilnadu. It plays a significant role in promotion of trade, as a vital trade centre trade, as a vital trade centre to cater the needs of nearby villages. A Fort over a small hill, the three hundred and sixty year old monument stands gallantly in the west, and this fort stands as a land mark.

Its now located in the campus of district collector office located near settinayakkanpatti.it is functioning from morning 10 to evening 5.30 pm Each and every court has its separate building
