It's a beautiful well maintained monastery which is a must watch if you are in pelling. You will really like the ambience and don't miss out the small museum that's inside the monastery in the first and second floor of the monastery.

One of the monasteries, this one is almost 300 years old. It is very beautiful and the environment is very peaceful. The highlight of the monastery - there is a replica of the Heaven - how it is perceived by them - a huge peice of art carved out entirely from a single bark of tree. On the top floor there is a museum that exhibits all the old remains of the place also.

Do visit the 3rd floor of this monastery. It's outstanding. Don't have photos as they don't allow camera inside. But you will be amazed. This monastery was built around 1647 A.D and it shows in the wall paintings. This is a very old and sacred place.

The oldest and renowned monastery of Sikkim (Pelling). The monastery offers a prayer hall, museum and a beautiful garden. The place also offers a majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Beautiful place. The Buddhist culture were very nicely shown here. A very large monastery in Sikkim. The museum shows many historical things used by the Buddhists.
