Impeccable service, amazing ambiance and the best meal I have experienced in India so far. Yes, only for residents unfortunately, but if you do stay at the hotel - don't miss this restaurant.

Perfectly authentic and personal service in a restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Very thoughtful decor with local tablecloths and votives paired with stylish contemporary dinnerware. Oh and the food is amazing!

Couldn't be any more snobbish, residents are the only people allowed to eat at these restaurants, so don't waste time reading up about it unless you are staying there. Funny how Taj was started as an alternate to the high society pretentious British Raj and ended up becoming just that. Taj is famous for making their staff work 16 hour days and not paying one bit of overtime, if you can resist don't patronize it, there are so many beautiful/reasonable places to stay in India and Udaipur.
