Awesome place. Its not too big but just the right size for the little ones. Well maintained grounds and walkways. Lots of food options within the park. Great walkways over the animal pens and viewing points for children. Only downside was they close at 4, which is a bit early for me. Lots of parking close to the entrance. Great location, easy to get to.

We have been to many zoos all over the world - and happily the Sydney Zoo is a stand out. What an amazingly awesome zoo we have in our own backyard.nWanna know what’s great about it: the staff are so very pleasant and helpful. The layout is perfect. The animals are clearly well treated and in tremendous surroundings. The food, the food was the biggest surprise, the food was very fresh and quite tasty.nAll in all we give a massive thumbs up to those running the Sydney Zoo for providing such a brilliant park.nWe highly, highly recommend Sydney Zoo for ALL families.

Sydney Zoo is an impressive new zoo on a compact patch of ground. Its all done at leisurely and effortless pace. The highlight has to be the Nocturnal area, with an amazing selection of snakes, frogs and marsupials.nnWe did feel the elephant was lonely by herself, not sure if there is a family to join her.nnMake sure you spend some time with the Tassie Devils ud83dude08 if you're lucky they will show you their sharp teeth.nnEasy to get to, plenty of parking, reasonable food offerings.nnChoose a day that isn't too hot..nnEnjoy!

Beautifully set out, easy to walk, all areas have a pretty clear view of the entire pens. Some animals were not visible (guessing they were just hiding). Highly recommended. Can't wait to see Sydney zoo expand and grow in the years to come.

Not much shade anywhere, except for the eating areas which are usually full. A shade sail or two over the random seating throughout the park wouldn't go astray. There is covered sprinkler areas which is great, but hard to utilise with all the social distancing.nRecommend going on a cooler day as most of the animals were hiding to escape the sun and heat, and so were we!nBut overall a nice day out, and being a new zoo, can only get better from here. And the staff were very lovely which makes all the difference.
