Amazing place, different types of animals, birds and reptiles are present. Very few names are given on the official website. It is best for half day visit. Kangaroo and wallaby feeding by hand is the best attraction.nIf you are coming by public transport, don't miss your bus. It is only one per hour. Otherwise you need to walk 2.2 km like me.

Today was my third visit to Featherdale. I finally got around to purchasing an Annual Pass, so I can visit regularly, and check out which animals are most active on the day. Highlights today: being approached by several gorgeous little wallabies. And then a beautiful free-ranging golden pheasant strolled by. It was fairly quiet this afternoon, so I could check out the wombat on my own - what a character, waddling around his enclosure, investigating everything. I was so close that I could have patted him over the fence, but the novelty wouldn’t have justified the risk! The little penguins also came right up to the fence, they seemed inquisitive. The striking black and gold regent bowerbird was stunning, flitting around his enclosure, shared by other birds. And the beautiful pair of gang gang cockatoos, showing each other such affection. I’ve been to many zoos and wildlife parks all over Australia and they all have much to offer. But when it comes to Australian wildlife, this is very easily the best!

The animals are wonderful and the staff are friendly. Loved feeding the kangaroos so cute especially the little guys when you first enter, so cute and soft. They hold onto your hand as they eat, makes your heart melt!nThe Kolas were great as well saw some munching away on their leafs. Oh and the cockatoo that talks to you!nGreat visit!

Love featherdale! Always a decent experience, the enclosures are all fairly appropriate for sizes of animals. Suggestion; bring your own sandwiches / food to cut cost. Clean and organized. I leave this place feeling like the animals are cared for and not uncomfortable. Great for family and kids.
