Presently the one and only Private Library that gloriously exists in Nabadwip town. When all of the contemporary Private Libraries in this Town have been lost into the Darkness of Oblivion, it's going to cross the threshold of its Diamond Jubilee. It's true that Libraries are suffering from a worldwide social menace, especially in the Third World countries, i.e. abhoration to read and special love to shurf Internet and this Library is not an exception. Since inception i e. 1959 to date it has to satisfy itself as merely a Government Registered Library, since it has missed the opportunity of being a Government Aided/Sponsored one for not having a personal property/building. But the tragic reality is that once it had the ownership of its present Building. But Alas! it had to sacrifice this ownership at the altar of the political turmoil infested this Town in the mid-eighties. It is true that after a long battle in the Warfield of Lower and Trial Court it has regained its Ownership, but it's too late to be a Government Aided/Sponsored Library.nTo be more precise, it is mainly a Social Worker's Organisation. It had been started to work mainly for this purpose, but subsequently it has become a Cultural Organisation,too and the very name of itself bears the testimony of it. Library is its last edition.nBut, this oldest Private Library of Nabadwip, for not being a Government one, is Presently suffering from acute paucity of Funds and young - energetic Workers as well.

Very old and a good library in Nabadwip Town. You could find old popular children's Magazine series like Chandmama, Suktara there.
