Rainbow Inn

Very clean rooms and good facility. We stayed there for a night on our return journey to Kolkata from Siliguri. The entrance of the hotel is about 100 ft from the main road. However this property has a huge parking space to accommodate many vehicles. Hotel staffs were very courteous and helpful.

the food here available is amazing and also give a good competition to k2 and also had a good pricing variety .....its basically Bangladeshi concept of food style

We had booked the banquet hall upstairs for a gathering of 20 odd people & we had ordered a combo thali consisting of shaak, alu bhaja, dal, paneer alu, posto bata, Nabaratna curry, fish curry, chicken (2 pieces), mutton (2 pieces), mishti, chutney, white rice, basanti polau all these in a single platter costing ₹400. All the items were great to taste however management is poor. Items were not served hot on a cold winter night. This was the feedback from guests later which was really shameful for the organiser. Also there should have been a menu chart placed in each table. Nonveg items were served in intervals & guests had no clue what was coming next which led to confusions. One person made his stomach full by having chicken & fish and to his utter surprise, his favourite mutton came later which he could not have coz he had no clue it was coming. Manager should have provided adequate training to staffs. Also some items in the platter could be removed which would make the dish more economic. The amount of food provided is too much for people these days. Also please note, if number of guests reduce a bit, they won't entertain it, you have to still pay for the total initial count. However you can request for packing of the remaining count which also they were a bit hesitant about. Surprisingly there was no manager present may be because it was an evening party which is why ill-trained staffs were not co-operative enough to manage situations. Overall good experience.
