Located near Ramkrishna Mission, the district library remains open 12pm to 7pm. Reading any book, any journals or newspaper in library premises is totally free of cost. However u have to pay a minimum amount for taking books to home. The library has around 700 members but yearly footfalls around 25000. The library contains huge number of books (68000) and journals in it's four storied building. It offers counseling to the aspirants of Govt job through renowned teacher or established executive officers in Govt service. All types of career counselling books, text books, children's books available here. At present it has only one regular staff, though the readers are served by 3 to 4 other staff. The present renovation works of library is under process, it will look absolutely stunning after completion.
