Locals are not helpful to guide you to this taxi stand. As they want to you take reserved taxi to sohra. However I managed to get to this place after talking to many people. I stayed in dhanketi behind Shillong law college. I walked till the main road and took shared taxi till the sohra taxi stand, costed me 20 rupees. This stand is located in the down , so you have to cross the anjali cinemas and 200 meters further you will find this stand. In the first floor of this stand, there will be many sumos lined up. One of the sumo already had 7 people. And I joined as the 8th one. After the sumo was full, ideally 10 people, driver will take money, 70 rupees per head and start the drive. We were about to start the journey and 11th person joined us. Driver + 3, 4 and 4 people.

A location On the Iewduh or Bara Bazar in which you can get a sharing cab to Cherrapunji at a nominal rate. Their time schedule can start as early as 5am in the morning and goes till 9 pm at night. After 9pm it will be hard to find a cab.

Little dark in place but taxi driver are very friendly and they charged one for all.
