Police Bazaar or PB (as it is said locally) is the heart of Shillong City and arguably the most crowded as well. One cannot miss Police Bazaar while in Shillong and it is one of the default places that one will definitely end up in or visit when in Shillong. Though the hustle and bustle has in recent times increased multiple times, it still is much less than any metropolitan city.nPB is one of the finest places for shopping, dining, drinking, chilling etc. in Shillong. You will find the best the city has to offer here. There are numerous hotels, taxis, buses, shops in this area catering to tourists as well as locals.nAfter dusk, the buzz lingers till late night primarily because of street food stalls serving delicious local as well as other food items.

Very hectic place. You sometimes have to literally fight for a seat in a cab and the waiting crowd overflows to block the other roads. Worst thing is that the taxis and buses share the same stop. Best option would be to walk a little down to barabazar and get a taxi from there.

Central place in Shillong, from where Reserved and Share cabs are readily available. You must have idea of local fare on basis of distance which can be found out from Google map. Find out the going rates from people around you.
