Mawthadraishan peak is located on the northern side of the main road that connects Nongstoin and Shillong. The fish ponds located at the top add to the picturesqueness of this place. The peak is famed among tourists for the panoramic views it offers.

Awesome place but road conditions is not good. My bike chain snapped and I had to come downhill till the main road to repair my chain. Luckily there was a mechanic nearby. After repairing, we completed the trip but not after loosening nuts and bolts of my bike(literally).
