The State Central Library

The place located in the heart of Shillong and its such a beautiful place. Apart from library there is a museum as well as a multi purpose hall and an enough space for parking as well. Over all it is very well maintained.

I love the library. It has wood everywhere which makes it very cozy. Collection of books are great too. However the librarians aren't good. It's a library hence every one who comes there keeps quite but not the librarians. They laugh and talk as loud as they can. Honestly the head of the library should take some action stove it disturbs the whole environment and students who come to study

Love the ambience and the quite there

The Library was located in nice location. Parking facilities are there and the first floor got a nice room for reading. However the books it provided are way outdated such that my be suitable for our parents or old generation. It does have a good collection of folk books too but yes old ones.

The place is really serene and quiet. The architecture and seating designs take me back to the 90's. It's so near yet so far away from the common din. But there's one limitation; not all books are available here.
