One of the oldest and elegant properties of West Bengal Tourism. Located on the banks of Ganges in Diamond Harbour. Offers excellent rooms with great maintenance. The staff is amicable and well mannered. Offers dining facility and in room service. The food is delicious, moderately priced and tasty. The rooms are spacious and excellently maintained. But the river view is blocked by the ornamentation of the building. The bar is closed so you will have to carry your own liquor for consumption right now.

Food quality and scenic beauty, both are fantastic, un-paralled.nRun by West Bengal govt, at Diamond Harbour, beside river, beautiful sunset, have to book food in advance, so much is the demand, mainly at lunch, fresh fishes from local rivers and markets.nGo with empty stomach, and enjoy as much as you can.nWith my family, I had enjoyed a lot, but missed a few dishes, as we were late in the afternoon, and didn't give order beforehand.nIf you reach Diamond Harbour well in time, first go there and book your meals and then go for tour.nElse, you will regret.

The lodge is just on the bank of Ganges where it meets Bay of Bengal. Recently renovated very nicely, food is good and rightly priced. Very noisy since it is located on the main road. Otherwise it is good for one day Trip.
