The District Library of Kolkata, called Kolkata Metropolitan Library. A well decorated four floored Library with a Newspaper Section, Text Book Section, Reading Section, Reference Section, Hindi Section, Literature Section, Book Lending Section, Women Education Sections Subject related Section, etc. The total library is Open Access. Books are arranging here according to the DDC subject division wise. All Books have been catalogued with KOHA ILMS. Library has a rich collection on text books, reference books as well as fiction, non fiction related books. Books can be issued with a Library lending card. Additional support like well decorated Bathrooms in every Flore with Pure, Cold Drinking water facilities, Lift facilities, Car Parking Zone also here available. Although Computer facilities have not started yet but users can bring their own laptops for education purpose...

Visited the library. Found it via google maps. Peaceful area. Lift available.nNot much collection and variety of journal but very exhaustive for civil service aspirants.nHas a 100 seater hall.

Security is very bad ...i lost my wallet with cash...and they didn't bother about it...nPeaceful place to study...

This place is awesome for peace lovers. Away from the hustle and bustle but still situated in the heart of city. You can bring your own books and resources and study here peacefully. The only demerit is that the place isn't that good for a book lover and they don't have a procedure to issue books.
