Here you can get all type of books except school books. All news paper, magazine, Patrika, lifestyle, gameing, various types of books, combine book for your job all are available here. This is the most oldest book library in Burdwan. This is so nice .

This library is one of the oldest district libraries of West Bengal established in 1954-55 in the heart of the town with two storied building. The library was named after Maharajadhiraj Uday Chand Mahatab of Burdwan, who gifted a vast area of land, building with books and furniture belonged to Raj Public Library.The present library building was built with the financial assistance of the Govt. of West Bengal.
