I was in town for a wedding and booked a hotel room in Sumter, SC. The hotel in Sumter was horrible and dirty. It was midnight and we left that hotel. We called and of course all the other hotels in Camden where booked. We called Holiday Inn and spoke to this wonder employee name Helena. All she said was we have one room left, come and I’ll take care of you. So we did, she greeted us with a smile and understood our previous frustrations. She saved the last room for us. She was wonderful. That previous night, we came back from the wedding and asked how was the wedding (remembering what we said). She was a great employee and Holiday Inn is lucky to have such a great and compassionate worker.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and because my husband and I are not smokers, it was a VERY annoying smell. Other than that the accommodations were very nice.

Best Holiday Inn we have stayed at. The clerk on duty 11 January 2020 was absolutely fabulous. Thank you. Hot water and great water pressure for shower. However the next morning not so great. The lady at the breakfast room was rude. Not good way to start day. She started clearing breakfast at 9:00. I ask her, “doesn’t breakfast last till 9:30”. She mumbled something hateful and continued to clear away the food. Needless to say wife didn’t get breakfast when she came to dining area at 9:10. One person can ruin your business and customers will go across the street to Hampton Inn or just keep going.
