There are hotels that are good, there are hotels that are comforting and then there are hotels that feel like your little corner. Ramathra is built that way and a lot of effort by the owners goes in keeping it that way. It's big but cozy, it's airy and comforting. Basically, the ideal holiday travel where the humdrum of TV or phones don't bother you. The staff is hospitable to the extent of making you feel like a guest of the Maharaja himself. We forgot to request something a couple of times, and rather asked for it knowing they will make it happen for us.nHopefully, the place keeps its charm and Calm and we will remind ourselves to visit again.

A Big NO to Ramathara FortnnI went there a week ago with my wife to get some royal like treatment since it is heritage royal property but after spending Rs.15000 for a day we found being cheated... There are number of reasons why one should not destroy their precious vacation but it is difficult to elaborate all the cons here but major are these:n1. Road- Reaching here is tuffer then reaching to the moon... road from the highway and thn to the village is in drastic condition and road leading to fort is even more worse. You will have to relook for your vehicle suspension.n2. Amenities in the room- They don't have mini bar or refrigerator, LED TV, intercom connection, Dental Kit, Locker for valuables, Curtains in the Washroom or Bathroom.n4. Amenities in Fort- They don't have reception counter, Swimming pool, Spa and Gym, playing court, room dine-in.n3. Services- Worst part of this fort. Staff are not at all professionals... they provide cold food to their Guests and even after complaining for the same they say it is not possible to serve hot food as we dont have utensils like that, there are only 2-3 varities of food in breakfast, lunch and dinner... pet dog is used to roam around and keep peeping in your food and might bite you but no one is there to run away the said dog, they don't have basic things in meal like salad, desert, papad, raita etc and if you are lucky you might get roughly cutted tomato, onion and cucumber after asking. You will find fort Manager dressing like a night gaurd and never available in the office.nnApart from it i encountered with an incident in which i found 1000rs less in my wallet after enquiring i found room service was done in the night by fort staff when we went for dinner. I complained the same to Fort Manager but manager has never returned to me with any explanation or justification.nOnly pros are boating in lake which you may get easily in any lake for 200-300 bucks and the only staff who was willing to serve and has managed all the fort is Mr. Hetram.nSo this is my experience in the Ramathara Fort.
