Chanod Haveli

Chanod Haveli is operated by the nicest people that I had the pleasure to meet during my trip in India. Shailendra, his wife and staff make you feel at home. Also the room was spacious and immaculate. The home cooking and hospitality is great. Shailendra will also be able to tell you many interesting details about life in India and in Jodhpur specifically. I stayed there for almost a week, not only enjoying the sites in Jodhpur but also enjoying the quiet of my room, and the view from the superb balcony. At the end of my stay Shailendra offered to take me to the airport. Their place is highly recommended.

I’m writing this review while sitting in Chanod Haveli which has been my home for last 3 days.. home I say bcz it has actually been a home away from home..this place and the hosts are a class part.. I won’t say hosts henceforth bcz they don’t make you feel like guests.. they make you a part of their family.. both uncle and aunty are very caring and generous and at the same time very knowledgeable and confident to strike an intelligent conversation with you.. breakfast and other meals cooked by aunty herself satisfy your appetite for home made Rajasthani food.. it’s a new property and the elderly couple manages the home stay with the help of only 2 men who too stay on their toes to give you the best service.. it’s a home stay so people wanting services round the clock should consider this..though they do provide you with evrything you want till late hours of night..now coming to the property.. after staying in big properties in Udaipur and Jaipur I would say this place has by-far been my favourite .. clean spacious rooms with all modern facilities in a haveli with a rustic charm..simply gives you the royal feel.. location is perfect as it’s at the beginning of the old city.. and the rooftop gives splendid views of both Meherangad and Umaid Bhavan palace..for anyone wanting to experience Rajasthani Hospitality while staying in a royal Haveli should definitely stay at this place..

We were taken for a pleasant surprise when we visited Chanod Haveli. Its a beautiful Haveli, 130 year old. It is extremely well maintained and speckless. It has very large rooms. The rooms are more beautiful, than what you see in the pictures. The property is located in the heart of Jodhpur. All market placed are at a walking distance.nnThis review will not be complete without talking about our hosts Shailendraji and Meenakshiji. They are most amicable host I have ever met. Our stay was for 2 days. However, they left an everlasting impression. Not only did they guide us to plan our tour, they also helped us arrange for transport. They made us feel at home and took very good care of us.nnWe had the most delectable food at Chanod Haveli. The taste of Gatte Ki Sabji, Kachche Haldi ki sabji and Gajar ka Halwa will linger for long.nnJodhpur is a very traditional town, and we can experience both tradition and modernity at Chanod Haveli.

Nice Property and You can get nice view of Mehrangarh fort from Haveli terrace! It is not hotel, You will feel like Home. Care takers are very sweet and genuine. Haveli is neat & clean and very well maintained. Rooms are spacious and you will love the vibes.

It was through make my trip i got to know about this home stay at jodhpur. The ratings were really good so i decided to go for this but unfortunately i had to cancel this and go for another stay due to some emergency. It was then when i got the call of Mr.Shailendra Rathore and after interacting with him i felt that i am missing something precious so i decided to come back to this option again. Me and my wife reached this location quite early and we were greeted by the owner and one more staff there. This place is near to railway station and almost connects all major tourist hub of jodhpur. Along with that it is situated near to shopping area also so geographically i must say this is the best option to look for. Coming to the hospitality part i could sum up my feeling as it was home away from home and the owner treated us like his own kids. The interactions we had with the owner made him somewhere deep rooted into the list of good people i met. after staying here i must say ‘humanity pertains and good souls do exists’. The stay was spacious and very comfortable with a an additional benefit of a complementary breakfast. Night you can have a view of mehrangarh fort from the terrace of this haveli. Visit and stay at this place if you want a day to be embedded into your memories! You will never regret coming here and might find difficult to leave ud83dude0a! P.S. I am not a writer but few places and few people never fail to surprise us that mere words are not enough to describe them!
