I've been a member of Purbachal Public library since childhood. It's a good local library with very reasonable membership cost. Huge collection of books of all kinds, mainly Bengali literature. But recently the stock of English literature has increased a lot. Books on all genres, like social, fiction, romance etc are available. The ambience is very good here for reading. The crowd is very civil and well mannered. The librarian himself is pretty efficient.
